Mother's Day 2012

1st Day of School

We had a great 1st day of school. We read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and went on a tour of the school. We got to go play on the playground. We went to the computer lab today. We also got to eat in the cafeteria. Today was a great day!

Mother's Day Celebration

Here is our Mother's Day presentation we made for our moms and grandmas for our Muffins with Mom celebration.

Thanksgiving Corn Bread

We made corn bread and butter for Thanksgiving. We started by reading Sarah Morton's Day to learn how the pilgrims cooked their corn bread and made butter. Then we followed the recipe and made the corn bread. We cooked ours in an electric skillet instead of in a stone oven. We then shook cream until we made butter. We got to enjoy the corn bread and yummy butter.

Visit to the Fire Station

Last Thursday we got to take a walking field trip to the fire station. We got the learn about what to do if there is a fire. We also got to tour the fire house. Best of all we got to get in the fire truck!

Pumpkin Patch

We had a blast at the pumpkin patch. The kids had an awesome time picking out their own pumpkin. The petting zoo and hay stack was a huge hit too. Thanks to all of the parents who helped out with the field trip.
